Talk a walk. Daydream. Meditate. Read. Doodle. Access good childhood memories. Spend time with people who uplift you. Go to art galleries. Search online for subjects that intrigue you.Watch creative films and shows. The world and the people and creatures in it are amazing, vivid, with so much to offer our imagination. Be inspired x Flow is the state you get in when you’re completely absorbed in something you love doing.Repetitive creativity that create a result, like knitting, drawing, or writing help activate flow. The super cool things is that when you succeed at creating a result, no matter what it is, your brain is flooded with dopamine. What puts you in your flow? Creative crafting can help focus the mind, and has even been compared to meditation due to its calming effects on the brain and body. Even just gardening or sewing releases dopamine. Dopamine is an important brain chemical that influences your mood and feelings of reward and motivation. Plunge yourself into colour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Being creative gives us an opportunity to disconnect from stress, express inner thoughts, feelings and emotions and can even be meditative. It's so good for us. What brings us delight?Let's seek it out, create it, enjoy it. Crafty has two meanings, one is being clever at achieving one's aims by indirect or deceitful methods which isn't what I recommend! The other is getting hands on and having fun and making something and being sure to enjoy yourself while you do it. That I do recommend! And, remember you don't have to be a fine artist to create. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm a therapist who not only loves to write, I love making gorgeous things. This is me and a snippet of one of my fairy swing creations. Getting into a flow state is about being fully involved doing something we love to do. Something that we're good at, that's enjoyable, rewarding, fulfilling and takes a lot of focused present moment attention. It's a feel good state.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Creative solutions come from creative problem solving. We can all do with a bit of help to overcome unforeseen challenges, obstacles, overwhelm, stuckness and brick wall patterns in relationships. Don't just put up with the same stuff different day flatness. Even one session can help gain enough understanding to move, shift and change things up.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
